Blood Drives
For those with MDS or other leukemias, patients often require blood transfusions to live. As we wait for a cure, Margy has had to have several transfusions. Margy's family is particularly heartened that a colleague of hers has been instrumental in organizing blood drives to help replace the blood supply and to help others with similar conditions. It helps to raise awareness to these conditions and is a huge support. Thanks to all those who have already donated in Margaret's name. Your sacrifice means so much to us.
Our goal is to collect 100 units of blood in Margy's name. So far we have 29 units as of April 12, 2010! Thanks to JNET, the persons in the Pittsburgh area, Shippensburg area, Harrisburg, and Lycoming County, Pennsylvania for their blood donations. For others who would like to join in on this effort, you can contact us. You can organize a blood drive or simply go to your local Red Cross or Bon Fils to donate blood in the name of Margaret Davis.
